Reservations
Everything about a booking in Innvera, from a tentative hold or a firm booking through check-out, cancellation or no-show.
A reservation is the record of one guest's booking at your property: who is staying, in which room types (and, once assigned, which rooms), for which nights, at what price, who is paying, and where the booking came from. Every reservation carries its own human booking reference, its own folio, its own guest register, its own notes and its own history, and it moves through a small set of statuses from On Hold or Confirmed to Checked Out.
Reservations live in two places in the sidebar. Bookings is the searchable list of every reservation at the property, with filters for status, source and room type; searching it matches the booking reference, the guest and the OTA code. Calendar is the same data drawn as a timeline of rooms and nights, where you drag a stay to move it and sweep across empty cells to start a new booking or a courtesy hold. Both open the same detail sheet, and both lead to the full reservation page at /reservations/[id], which is where the folio, guest details, notes and the actions menu live.
Bookings arrive from three sources. PMS reservations are entered by your staff. Channel reservations are imported from OTAs such as Booking.com or Airbnb through Channex, and carry extra tabs (Room details, Guarantee) with what the channel sent. Direct reservations are made by guests on your own booking engine. The source matters: a channel booking's dates and room type are frozen until the guest checks in, because Innvera does not push those changes back to the OTA.
Key terms
Reservation — one booking record for one booker, holding one or more rooms.
Booking reference — the number staff and guests use for a booking: SUN-000123 for anything Innvera created, the channel's own code for an OTA booking.
Room (an accommodation on the Accommodations tab) — one room-stay inside a reservation: a room type, an optional assigned room, dates, occupancy and an amount. A single-room booking has exactly one.
Hold — a tentative booking. It takes the inventory and a physical room like any other, and releases them by itself if nobody confirms it before it expires.
Folio — the ledger of charges and payments for the reservation, created automatically when the reservation is.
Rate plan — the price rule (and restrictions) the stay was sold under. It belongs to one room type.
Source — where the booking came from: PMS, Channel or Direct.
