Rooms & Rates

The product you sell — room types and physical rooms, the rate plans that price them, and the policies, taxes, facilities and photos that go with them.

Before a single reservation can be made, Innvera needs to know what you sell and at what price. This section covers that setup. Room types are the sellable categories (Deluxe King, Family Suite, Dorm Bed); rooms are the physical units inside each type, with a number and a housekeeping condition. Rate plans belong to a room type and hold the nightly price per occupancy, the meal plan, the children fee and the weekly restrictions — minimum stay, stop-sell, closed to arrival. Every reservation is priced from a rate plan, and every rate plan is what the channel manager pushes to OTAs.

Around those three sit the supporting catalogues. Taxes & fees defines T-GST, city taxes and service charges and groups them into tax sets that rate plans reference, so quotes and folios carry the right tax lines. Hotel Policies hold check-in and check-out windows, cancellation tiers, deposit terms and house rules, shown to guests on the booking engine. Facilities & Amenities and the Media Library feed the property's listings: what the hotel offers, what each room type includes, and the photos that go with them.

Room types and rooms live under Rooms in the sidebar (Operations group), and rate plans are managed from a room type's card there or from the dedicated Rate Plans page. Taxes and tax sets sit with the rest of accounting configuration, under Settings → Accounting → Taxes & fees. Policies, facilities and media each have their own page, reached by URL or from a search hit rather than the sidebar. Setup is usually done once by a manager, then adjusted seasonally.

Rate plan — a priced product for one room type: pricing options per occupancy, meal type, fees, restrictions and a tax set.
